It's sad really. Frimlin has been a hero to many Creatures players. His is the ultimate in game fan success stories. You know, I'm sure everyone has dreams of getting to work for the company that makes their favorite game. I mean who wouldn't enjoy that? A job where you get to have fun and play for a living is a happy dream for everyone, but to actually see that dream come true? That's got to be a kick! I think quite a few Creatures fans were inspired by Frimlin's success.

Even better is the fact that he never seemed to lose his friendly attitude. Not even when he was bombarded daily with the same unerringly boring questions about the game series to which there were easily available answers on the support website. He never waffled and lost his sense of humor when a particularly frustrated gamer screamed in all caps that they needed help, and then were too dense to explain further what they needed help with.

I can't tell you how many times he went out of his way to help me with a problem I had with the game, or to get me that extra quick response to a serious inquiry about what happened with my order from the Creature Labs mall. He even managed to find me a Creatures strategy guide when he'd originally been informed that they were sold out!

I shall hold dear the times when I got a sneak peek at the newest breed that was to be released only because Frimlin would "accidentally" let a few loose in the warp during play testing for the breed. It's the neatest thing to have a creature that was actually let loose and sent to you during playtesting, and watch it change, after you've bought the new breed, into the creature that it truly is. I'll never forget watching that Siamese norn, Amgo, get his fur in my game for the first time!

I will always remember the fun I had chatting with Frimlin, while he was testing the Brigand Grendels, which later became known as the Banshee Grendels. It was the best fun I've had in a long while! Such a thrill it was to have been asked if I saw anything about the breed that I should think would need changing! Even better the thrill I got when right after purchasing the new Banshee Grendels! Who wouldn't think that this was the coolest?
